My name is Fareid El Gafy, and I am a half-British, half-Egyptian writer who thinks himself rather funny.
I graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film & TV and Politics. I came to LA with a suitcase full of button-down shirts and a dream to write comedy for whoever needs it – preschoolers to adults, and everyone in between, be it animation or live-action. My goal is to make people laugh and to make the stories we tell, however goofy, more diverse and representative of who we are. Every story matters.
My greatest personal achievements so far are writing a thesis on the effect of House of Representatives delegation size on federal funding to the states, and being a quoted critic of "lofi hip hop radio - beats to relax/study to" on the Wikipedia for Lofi Girl.
